Acting Classes in Bedford, NH
Our BYPC acting classes span all ages from 4-year-olds to adults. While our curriculum builds upon itself making it perfect for children growing their acting skills year-over-year, new students are welcome to join at any age!
Students in acting classes at our Bedford, NH studio are also presented with numerous opportunities to perform throughout the year in southern New Hampshire allowing them to showcase what they've learned about developing characters and creating a strong stage presence.
Our acting classes are best complemented with performing, movement, and music lessons. Becoming a well-rounded performer by training in all areas of the performing arts gives our students the unique advantage of being capable of acting any character roles. Only the BYPC Companies require additional classes, but all BYPC students are strongly encouraged to take a variety of performing arts classes to have a thorough education.
Story BOOK Theatre
Hop into Mr. McGregor's garden from Peter Cottontail, transform into a beautiful butterfly like The Very Hungry Caterpillar or dance like Clara in the Nutrcracker. Acting / Performance / Voice
Students in our BYPC introductory-level acting class, Acting / Performance I, hone their performing skills through specialized training in acting, dance, and voice. The goal is to combine song, dance, and voice to produce believable characterizations that engage and entertain audiences. Each class consists of a group voice lesson with an emphasis on technique, theory, and dynamics, along with a dance and performance class adding a focus on choreography, staging, props, costuming, and performing skills.

Our BYPC Acting II classes allow students to learn basic acting skills and techniques while developing the ability and confidence to interact effectively in a group. Imagination is key as students continue to invent characters and story lines while being introduced to written script and characters. Focus, concentration, memorization, and listening skills complete a solid acting foundation in a creatively charged environment. Emerging actors in our BYPC Acting III classes receive complete training in diction, listening, memorization, character analysis and development, physical acting, and improvisation.

Our BYPC Acting IV level explores acting methods and techniques in more depth. Students learn how to develop a character and to analyze a scene in both dramatic and comedic pieces. With the addition of some improv, it is the perfect class to discover the actor within you!
