GROWING GIFTS THROUGH THE ARTS

Circle Of Giving Outreach

The Circle of Giving takes the mission of BYPC beyond the walls of our Bedford studios and enables children from our outreach programs including Easter Seals, Child Health Services, Girls Inc., the 21st Century Community Learning Centers to participate in performing arts programs taught by a gifted group of high school and college student interns supervised by BYPC staff. The goal of the program is to fulfill BYPC’s fervently held belief that all children should be provided the opportunity to discover and to grow their gifts through the arts regardless of their physical, cognitive, emotional, financial, or social challenges.

Circle of Giving classes are taught at partner organizations’ facilities and at the BYPC studio and include a variety of programs including music classes for toddlers and their Moms, dance classes ranging from introductory ballet to hip-hop for children 3 years to 15 years old, musical theatre classes for preschool children through high school and drumming classes for children with autism. The sweet bonus of the Circle of Giving programs is that learning from another teenager and making a new friend outside of their community or school is a rare occurrence and a found treasure for children at our nonprofit partners.

In addition to providing off-site programming for fellow non-profit organizations, The Circle of Giving provides financial aid for children to enroll in programs offered on-site at BYPC’s studio, and donates free tickets to BYPC shows to special needs children and low income families.

BYPC’s Circle of Giving performers and faculty also bring free music and musical theatre performances throughout the Greater Manchester community and provide entertainment at fundraising events for fellow nonprofit organizations.

It is the dream of BYPC that each child should delight in the joys of singing, escape into their imaginations for wondrous journeys, discover the adventures unearthed in a great book, be lifted into dance by rhythm and melody, and to experience the pure bliss of a resounding “TA-DA” unique to performing.
