The Dance Program at BYPC is non-competitive and focused on self expression, imagination, musicality, alignment, strength, flexibility, technique, terminology, history, composition and performance. We offer classes in every form of dance to accommodate every age group and skill level.

Whether your opening night dreams are to standing room only audiences in Grandma’s parlor or in a Tony award winning Broadway Musical – BYPC has a dance program for you. Consider these unique BYPC advantages:

Small Class Size:

We maintain a low student / teacher ratio in order to provide students personalized attention and an optimal learning experience. Preschool classes maintain a 6:1 student / teacher ratio. All other classes maintain a 12:1 student / teacher ratio.

Professional Faculty:

Our dance faculty are highly trained, degreed professionals who specialize in each discipline. Their expertise extends to a vast network of contacts in the dance and theatre world, which serves to enrich your education with opportunities for master classes, performing field trips, and informational sessions.

Professional Facility:

Our studios are equipped with floating Marley floors to enhance performance and maximize safety.

Non-Competitive Studio:

We focus on providing quality education and performing opportunities in a fun, creative atmosphere that meets and supports every student’s personal goals.

Age Appropriate Leveled Curriculum:

From beginner to advanced, toddler to teen - we have a class to fit your skill level and age group. When you enroll, you’ll receive a personal assessment and a class placement recommendation. At the end of the year, you’ll receive a progress report and a recommendation for future placement.

Hassle Free Recitals:

Recital dates and related requirements are planned and communicated to students well in advance of the performance. If you participate in a recital, you’re entitled to two free tickets and a free DVD of the recital.

Pre-professional and Recreational Programs:

Whether you aspire to be a Radio City Music Rockette or you simply want to rip up the dance floor at your next school dance, we have a fun class for you. Dance can offer highly skilled performers exciting college and career opportunities, and our faculty is prepared to help such students reach their goals.
