Musical Theatre Performance Classes at BYPC

Our Bedford, NH performance classes top off a well-balanced performing arts education when taken in addition to our acting, movement, and music lessons. With multiple class levels for ages 4 and up, students in these performance classes learn not only how to be a part of and act in musical theatre productions, but how to combine their many talents, produce stellar group dynamics, and practice performing techniques. In the youngest level of performance classes, listening, observation, memory, focus, concentration, and imagination skills are introduced, and those skills are built further in the intermediate level and refined in the higher levels. Regardless of past experiences and skill levels, participation in this type of specialized performance training in a fun-filled and nurturing environment leads to performers who appear to be natural-born stars!   

Only the BYPC Companies require additional classes and participation in productions; however, we do encourage performing students to take a variety of BYPC classes and to take advantage of using their new skills to engage live audiences when presented with performing opportunities throughout the year. 

Pre-performance

Ages 4-5

Students in our BYPC introductory-level performance class hone their performing skills through specialized training in acting, dance, and voice. The goal is to combine song, dance, and voice to produce believable characterizations that engage and entertain audiences. Each class consists of a group voice lesson with an emphasis on technique, theory, and dynamics, along with a dance and performance class adding a focus on choreography, staging, props, costuming, and performing skills.

This Level V Class is invite only and is meant for the performer who is looking to study the performing arts more seriously. This class has a bigger focus on technique, theory and precision.

Fee includes 90 min MT Class, one 90 minute ballet class, one 60 minute jazz class, and one 60 minute lyric class. March and Year End Production Fees. Private voice is separate.

Tuition 376.20 with Level IV dance includes Ballet IV, Lyrical IV, and Jazz IV (tap not included)

Tuition 445.50 with Level V dance includes Ballet V, Lyrical V, Jazz, Theatre Jazz V (tap not included)

Advanced Musical Theatre
