Yes — having an instrument at home is essential to your child's progress. Regular practice between classes is where the real growth happens, and a student who can pick up their instrument throughout the week will develop far more quickly than one who only plays during class time. If you have questions about what to look for when purchasing an instrument, just ask — we're happy to help guide you in the right direction.
-
Yes — each instructor hosts an annual Year End Concert typically held in May or June, giving your child a wonderful opportunity to share what they've been working on. Concert production fees are included in your tuition and admission is free. Additional performance opportunities are offered throughout the year — including around the holidays — so there are plenty of moments to celebrate your child's growth and progress.
-
For private lessons, students are allowed two makeup lessons per year. Please reach out to our front desk to schedule. Group classes and ensembles do not have a makeup option, so we encourage families to prioritize attendance whenever possible — consistent attendance is one of the biggest factors in your child's growth and progress.
-
We make weather-related decisions as early as possible so that families have as much notice as we can give. Cancellations are announced via email, social media, our website and on WMUR. If a lesson or class is cancelled on our end, we will be in touch to schedule a makeup.
-
BYPC offers rolling enrollment, so you can join anytime throughout the year — pending availability. Reach out to our front desk and we'll find the right class or lesson for your child and get you started.
-
Tuition is billed annually and divided into 10 equal monthly installments, with the first payment due September 1 and the final payment due June 1. Students who enroll after the start of the year are prorated to their start date, so you only pay for the time your child is with us.
-
BYPC require four weeks notice for all drops. If you need to withdraw your child from a class or lesson, simply notify our front desk. We ask for this notice so that we can best support your child's transition and plan accordingly.
“Throughout my youth, BYPC has been my second home. With caring teachers and staff, being part of the BYPC community has allowed me to grow outside of my comfort zone and use my voice for good. I am now a high school senior who is not afraid to sing in front of hundreds of people.”
