Preschool Theatre
Ages 4-6Acting, Singing & Dancing: It All Starts Here
Watch your child shine as they take their first steps into the exciting world of theater!
Our introductory classes are a magical journey where your student will hone their performing skills through a fun blend of acting, dance, and voice. We combine song, dance, and voice to help them produce believable characterizations that captivate and delight an audience. Each class is a dynamic mix of group voice lessons that emphasize technique and dynamics, and a performance class that introduces them to choreography, staging, and costuming.
Every child is a natural storyteller.
At BYPC, our preschool theatre educators create a warm and imaginative space where little ones take their very first steps into the world of performance — through play, creativity and the pure joy of being working together. Beyond singing, moving and acting, your child will develop confidence, social skills and self-expression that will stay with them long after the curtain falls.

“As a parent, it is an absolute gift to be part of a community that embraces children for who they are, honors their growth, and fosters meaningful peer connections. We adore every member of our BYPC family!”

Comfortable, movable clothing is all your child needs. At this age, self-expression is everything — so wear whatever makes them feel happy and ready to play. The only requirement is comfortable shoes suitable for movement. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to our front desk.

Preschool Performance students do not perform in the Year End Show. At this age, the classroom is their stage — and that is exactly where they shine. Our youngest performers are still building the foundational skills and confidence they need before stepping into a full production setting. Parents are invited into the classroom regularly for informal showcases so you never miss a moment of their growing confidence and joy. Trust us, their moment in the spotlight is coming — and it will be worth the wait.

In theatre, watching is learning too. If your child is feeling tentative, we welcome them to observe at first — taking in the class at their own pace until they feel ready to join in. Our educators are skilled at gently drawing even the most hesitant little ones into the fun, and with a little patience and encouragement, most children surprise everyone — including themselves.
-
Preschool Performance classes do not have a makeup option, so we highly encourage regular attendance whenever possible — consistency is key to your child's growth and confidence as a young performer. That said, we understand that life happens. If you know you'll be missing a class, we simply ask that you let your teacher know.

“Teachers/Instructors are amazing! Students sing, dance, perform with joy and gusto. They work hard to bring out the best in each and every student from barely toddler age through high school. This is a gem and gift to Bedford.”
