Ballet

Serious ballet training for the dedicated dancer. Level IV students deepen their technical foundation at the barre and center — refining alignment, strength and the precision that classical ballet demands. Musicality and artistry are developed alongside technique, guided by industry professionals who hold each dancer to a high standard.

Ballet V, by invitation
The highest level of ballet training at BYPC. Level V dancers pursue classical ballet at its most demanding and most beautiful — developing the strength, artistry and performance quality that define a truly accomplished dancer. Rigorous, disciplined and deeply rewarding for the student who is ready to commit fully to the art form.

Lyrical IV, by invitation
(Ballet IV required)Where technique meets emotion. Level IV dancers deepen their artistry through the seamless blend of ballet technique and expressive movement that defines lyrical dance. Musicality, fluidity and the ability to tell a story through every line of the body are at the heart of every class — challenging each dancer to perform with both precision and feeling.

Jazz at its most dynamic. Level IV dancers refine technique, performance quality and musicality across a range of jazz styles — developing the strength, precision and artistry that set an advanced jazz dancer apart. This is where tap gets serious. Level IV dancers master complex rhythms, advanced footwork and turning sequences — developing the artistic expression, clean sounds and choreography retention that define a truly skilled tap dancer. The highest level of tap at BYPC — and it shows. Tap V is a Musical Theatre Style Tap Ensemble focused on Broadway-style performance, theatrical storytelling and professional-level execution. Students master high-caliber choreography, synchronization and stage presence through advanced turns, time steps and theatrical staging. This is tap at its most powerful and most joyful.

At BYPC, we celebrate self-expression — however, we ask that students wear form-fitting clothing so that educators can best observe alignment and technique. Appropriate dance shoes are required — please reach out to our front desk if you have any questions about what to wear for your specific class.

Yes — every spring we celebrate our students at our Annual Year End Show, typically held at the end of May or beginning of June. All costume and production fees are included in your tuition so there are no surprises. Tickets for family and friends are available for purchase separately. Participation is not mandatory, but we highly encourage it — it is one of the most memorable experiences of the year for our students and families alike.

Dance classes do not have a makeup option, so we highly encourage regular attendance whenever possible — consistency is key to your child's growth and progress as a dancer. That said, we understand that life happens. If you know you'll be missing a class, we simply ask that you let your teacher know.

We make weather-related decisions as early as possible so that families have as much notice as we can give. Cancellations are announced via email, social media, our website and on WMUR. Weather cancellations will always be made up — we will be in touch to schedule.
